机械工程技术的领域包括机械设计(Mechanical Design),能源利用效率(Energy Utilization),建筑空调(Building Air Conditioning),相关业务的经济性等等。机械工程技术旨在于培育专长于工程的实践,如:产品改进(Product Improvement),工业实践(Industrial Practices)和工程业务(Engineering Operational)等,且善于分析,应用,实施和加强现有的技术的毕业生。此科系的课程内容与空调和制冷的系统息息相关,例如:空调和制冷的组件(Components of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration)、空调系统的分类(Classification of Air Conditioning System)、暖通空调系统维修(Maintenance of HVAC System)、空气分配系统(Air Distribution Sytem)及暖通空调绿色科技(Green Technology HVAC)等等。毕业生将有能力应用其数学,科学和工程基础知识于所需的程序,流程和系统以及应用于各行业的工程方法
